lay joined The Denver Center for the Performing Arts in 2008 as the Director of Facilities Management.  He graduated from San Diego State University with a BS in Business Administration/Organizational Management.

Clay’s professional background includes “Class A” facilities management, construction management, energy efficiency retrofit projects, project feasibility analysis, and high-end architectural planning and implementation. Clay comes to Denver after serving as the Director of Construction for one of Los Angeles’ most influential architectural and construction firms. Prior to his time in Los Angeles, Clay worked for the largest office Real Estate Investment Trust on the West Coast where he managed the construction and facilities processes of a commercial portfolio of more than 3.2 million square feet in San Diego. Clay has been involved in the energy retrofit and LEED certification of many buildings including the conversion of a 540,000 square foot high-rise building into an Energy Star rated building for seven years running.

Clay’s love of theatre and his experience as a Denver Center patron over the last 15 years inspired him to continue his career at The Denver Center.
